Lean Management

  • Lean Management intention is to avoid waste, errors and unnecessary costs, whilst aiming for optimum quality.
  • Lean Production is a beginning, which concentrates less on technical aspects but rather emphasises the principles of a slim organisation.
  • Lean Management means “to accomplish values without waste”. It is a goal to optimally co-ordinate all activities, which are necessary for the added value, and to avoid redundant activities (Japanese “muda”).
  • The results are:
    • Specific and flexible fulfilment of the customer request for economic working and high efficiency
    • Concise process definitions and interface descriptions
    • Clear responsibilities and early reaction to errors
    • Simple organisation methods lead to stable processes, from which high-quality products originate
